Dirty Pour

This is an acrylic pouring technique in which all colours are poured into the same cup or container and then poured onto the painting surface. Each colour is mixed individually, together with the pouring medium (for example; liquitex) and water. For the better formation of cells two to three drops of silicone oil can added per colour. The colour mixtures are then poured on top of each other in a container or cup. You can stir the cup of different colour mixtures. However, if the paint is mixed too much, the different colour mixtures will all mix together to create one colour and will most likely cause an unsuccessful paint pour. After all the paint has been poured onto the same container/cup, it is then carefully poured over the painting surface. The painting surface is then moved back and forth until the paint has spread over the entirety of the surface. For further cell formation, a blow torch can be used to slightly brush over the surface of the wet paint.
