Acrylic paint mixed with water and coconut oil. Once I moved to working on wood, as much as I was happy with the outcomes of my pours, I began to feel like there was something missing from my practice. It became apparent that I was focusing too much on creating work identical to the ones I’d seen across social media. The process of creating the pours is what I’ve always been concerned about, I just didn’t realise until this point in the project. Therefore, I began to record the process. I stopped fully filling the surfaces and looked at less conventional materials to work on which would change the way the paint way applied.
